Since 2014, I am connected to the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam (WDKA) as an external examinator.
The Willem de Kooning Academy presents itself as an international art academy. "It is our mission to help our students become the creating pioneers the economy is looking for, and to prepare them for their international professional careers.”
Students not only choose a particular major course – let’s say Advertising – but also a professional context or what we call a ‘practice’. We offer three of these practices or graduation profiles: Autonomous, Social and Commercial.
In my role as an external examinator I study the graduate projects of students from different disciplines, mostly Fashion, Photography and Film, Design, Digital Media and Advertising.
